Hypnotherapy used to control asthma

A growing amount of asthma sufferers are using Hypnotherapy to control their condition.

It has emerged that by using hypnosis to lower anxiety levels, asthma sufferers are less prone to asthma attacks during nervous situations.

Hypnotherapy sessions can also help those who suffer from the condition remain calm when suffering from asthma attacks.

According to an article on guide2bristol.com, many asthma suffers are stuck in a cycle where anxiety leads to asthma which in turn leads to more anxiety.

It was claimed that hypnotherapists can help sufferers control their asthma by asking them to visualise a future where they are coping perfectly with stressful situations.

By thinking about the solutions to problems rather than the problems themselves that the anxiety/asthma cycle can be broken down.

A source from curinganxietytoday.com claimed that those who struggling with any form of anxiety should seek help from a professional before their symptoms get worse.

It read: "Early treatment for anxiety is key and most sufferers of anxiety don't go to a therapist until they have developed depression or substance abuse problems as a result of their anxiety.''

"If you think you may be suffering from some form of anxiety, it is important to make an appointment with a therapist and discuss what you are feeling with a professional."
